For the last six years Love Lost, Miami has added a distinctly human perspective to the Art Basel calendar, exhibiting hundreds of objects and their accompanying stories, highlighting and opening the dichotomy between love and loss, art and life, hidden in stories from our own backyard: Miami.
They take the shape of relics of unfinished stories and broken bridges, deserted homelands, and missed opportunities, endured trauma, unexpected heartbreak, and peaceful resignation. Through these stories, lost love becomes much more than a single destination; it takes the shape of a communal mosaic colored with shades of sadness, anger, bewilderment, pain, gratitude, joy, and even humor.
In addition to this annual collection of real-life narratives, this year the exhibit is expanding to feature the work of local artists who, through varying mediums, will be showcasing their representations of love and loss.
The exhibit will be open Nov 30 - Dec 3 2022. Come along for an emotional ride, get your tickets here.
Wednesday 11/30 through Sunday 12/3 (6 pm to 10:00 pm)
