Love Lost, Miami is an annual Art Basel exhibit of objects that reveal stories of heartbreak that live in our own backyard.
They take the shape of relics of unfinished stories and broken bridges, deserted homelands, and missed opportunities, endured trauma, unexpected heartbreak, and peaceful resignation. Through these stories, lost love becomes much more than a single destination; it takes the shape of a communal mosaic colored with shades of sadness, anger, bewilderment, pain, gratitude, joy, and even humor.
Thursday 12/5 through Sunday 12/8 (6 pm to 11 pm)
"Thanks for contributing something local, honest and creative! So healing to be able to relate to the love and heartbreak of others." MI
"Thank you for sharing what it means to be human."
"...the emotion and significance behind each object transcends art and feeds off of each persons humanity, idealism, and romanticism."
